Coastal State Obligations of the Maritime Authority include:
- Meteorological Services & Warnings
- Search and Rescue Services
- Hydrographic Services
- Pollution Prevention, Preparedness and Response
- Ship Reporting & Routeing Schemes
- Aids to Navigation
Many of these obligations are met through shared responsibility with outside stakeholders including the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO), the Met Office, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, the MAIB and BFSAI.
