The history of the Merchant Navy Day dates back to year 2000 and commemorated every 3<sup>rd<\/sup>&nbsp;of September each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Red Ensign flag flies high at Victory Green to remind us all of the importance of seafarers who still till this day leave their loved ones for months on end to work on ships that heavily contribute to global trade and national security.
