The Falkland Islands Maritime Authority are proud to announce our three new mooring buoys are now commissioned and in use in Stanley Harbour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These mooring buoys have a seaflex mooring system. Unlike traditional moorings that use anchors and heavy chains, these new moorings absorb snatching loads which help reduce damage to boat fixtures and wear on the mooring system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These moorings are public, free to use, and do not require a booking system. The moorings are maintained by <\/a>the Maritime Authority and are designed to Moor small craft and yachts up to 17m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wish to thank Blue Parameters for providing the Byous and the mooring system, The Development and commercial services of the Falkland Islands government for their support throught the project and to Martec and the Shallow Marine Survey Group to the installation of these moorings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
