Port Entry & Exit Reporting<\/h1><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Falkland Islands have a reporting system for vessels entering and exiting the Port William, Stanley Port and Berkley Sound area which is monitored 24 hours from the Duty Control Room. Vessels must report on entry and exit over the reporting line and are required to give at least 24 hours notice prior to arrival via email to shipreporting@sec.gov.fk<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reporting point is a straight line between 51\u00b0 31’S 57\u00b0 44’W, Volunteer Point and 51\u00b0 41’S 57\u00b0 43’W, Cape Pembroke. Reports should be made via VHF CH 10 to Stanley Port Control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vessels are also requested to report when anchored giving their anchor drop position, or when are fully secured alongside their intended berth. This is also requested when heaving anchor and when slipping the lines for departure in order to monitor traffic movements within the harbour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information to be transmitted when crossing the line is as follows:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

  2. Radio call sign<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Type of vessel (eg Trawler, Jigger, Reefer etc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Number of crew and passengers on board<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Ship’s agent<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Date of entry<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Local time of entry (time crossing the reporting line)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Last port of call<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Intentions (eg. Transhipment\/Bunkering\/Medical\/repairs\/Crew Change\/Inspection etc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Location of above intentions (Stanley Harbour\/FIPASS\/PortWilliam\/Berkeley Sound etc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Fuel type and amount carried on board (Tankers must report cargo and bunkers seperately)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
