Government Treasury provides services that facilitate other Directorates in achieving their objectives whilst providing a central role to ensure corporate objectives are wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-056c3686 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Provision of Financial Information and Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provision of information for budgetary control &amp; maintenance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring and reporting movement of the Stanley retail price index;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing a full financial planning, accounting and reporting service for the Government of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands (GSGSSI)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Formulation of Fiscal Policy, Financial Strategies and Annual Budgets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Co-ordination of the Medium Term Financial Plan (MTFP);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitating the preparation of the annual budget including capital programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Provision of Financial Strategy and Policy Advice and Research<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Management of the Standing Finance Committee;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation in various committees, sub-committees, working parties and advisory boards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exchequer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Provision of Central Exchequer Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Investment management;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintenance of financial records and production of Statutory Annual Accounts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collection and recording of amounts due to the government;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administration of Rent, Service Charge and subvention services;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provision of central banking reserves for Falkland Islands currency and the minting of commemorative coins;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment of all suppliers, contractors, employees and members of the public;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provision of rent\/service charge rebates to FIG tenants;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administration of insurance
