The Treasury works with every other government department and with Members of Legislative Assembly to help ensure good management of public funds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On average, an entry is made into the Treasury\u2019s financial records once every&nbsp;<strong>38<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>seconds<\/strong>&nbsp;during the working day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Annual accounts comprising&nbsp;<strong>16<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>statements<\/strong>&nbsp;are prepared to show the financial position of the Falkland Islands Government on 30<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;June each year, providing transparency and accountability of government finances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independent auditors travel over&nbsp;<strong>8,000<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>miles<\/strong>&nbsp;from the UK to provide external assurance that the financial statements give a true and fair view of the government\u2019s affairs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Over&nbsp;<strong>2,000 payments<\/strong>&nbsp;are made each month to suppliers, pensioners and employees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>19 people<\/strong>&nbsp;in the Treasury team work together to provide the best possible financial services to Members of the Legislative Assembly, other government departments and the general public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:4vh\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#f9fafb;padding-top:10vh;padding-bottom:10vh\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For more information, please contact <br>the Government Treasury<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll find our office hours, location, and full contact details below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.fk\/finance\/contact-us\/\">Contact us<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Treasury is responsible for the financial resources of the Falkland Islands Government.
